FAQ’s

What is the light beam’s power source?

It is self-contained and independently powered by the latest solar power cell technology that requires no external source of energy to operate, other that the available sunlight.

How is the LED illuminated marker more effective that the conventional reflective marker when it comes to improving road safety?

Conventional pavement reflectors are only visible to drivers when the headlight beam is directly reflected back to the driver. LED illumination from our Solar road studs is visible to drivers much earlier and ahead of the reaches of their own headlight beam. This is especially effective around sharp curves.

In wet conditions, is this product more effective than conventional reflectors?

In rainy conditions, the effective visible range of conventional reflectors is significantly reduced. The luminosity of the reflector plate suffer greatly when its surface is wet. High intensity LED beam from Solar Road Studs, unaffected by wet surfaces and continues to be effective in rainy conditions.

How about in foggy conditions?

One of the most pronounced benefits is its fog-penetrating, high intensity LED light beam that remains visible at a much greater range in comparison to the conventional reflectors. It is truly a life saving safety device on the roads in areas with frequent fog related traffic accidents.

How the LED light failed to operate for some reason, is the public safety compromised in any way?

Our product features the “dual mode illumination” for its fail-safe functional reliability. Our product features the reflective panel that has been equally tested to be equally functional as the conventional reflective road marker when the LED light is disabled. Therefore, if the unit malfunctioned and failed to illuminate the LED light beam, the road visibility is essentially equal and no less than before the installation of this product. In other words, you can only improve road safety with our product. There is no compromise for Road safety if a unit malfuncions.
